Halal, and what we serve
Is Dolan's Uyghur Cuisine halal?
Yes. 100% halal - the whole menu, the whole kitchen. No pork, no alcohol. Every dish at our Alhambra and Irvine locations is prepared to that standard, with no alcohol-based ingredients anywhere in the kitchen.
What is Uyghur food?
Uyghur cuisine has its roots in Central Asia, blending Turkic, Persian and Chinese technique. Signature dishes include hand-pulled Laghman noodles, samsa (lamb-stuffed pastries baked in a tandoor), grilled lamb kebabs, and polo (rice pilaf). The tradition is halal by origin — it grew up in the Muslim oasis communities of Central Asia — and at Dolan’s, the entire kitchen and menu are 100% halal.
Do you have vegetable dishes?
Yes. Alongside the lamb and chicken dishes we serve vegetable plates including stir-fried green beans, shredded potato, smashed cucumber with garlic, and Tiger Salad, plus naan straight from the tandoor oven. Every dish on our menu is halal, and we handle no pork and no alcohol.
Do you have a bilingual menu?
Yes — our menu is printed in both English and Chinese. Dishes include hand-pulled Laghman, samsa, polo, lamb kebabs and Big Plate Chicken, cooked the way they are cooked in the oasis towns of Central Asia. 100% halal - the whole menu, the whole kitchen. No pork, no alcohol.

Do you have hand-pulled Laghman noodles?
Yes — our chefs hand-pull Laghman noodles fresh daily in Alhambra and Irvine. Laghman is a traditional Uyghur noodle dish in a rich tomato-based broth with lamb and vegetables. We also serve hand-pulled belt noodles in our big plate chicken (dapanji).
What is samsa?
Samsa is a traditional Central Asian baked pastry filled with seasoned lamb and onions, baked in a tandoor-style oven until golden and flaky. It's one of Dolan's most popular signature appetizers at our Alhambra and Irvine locations.
Do you serve plov?
Yes — we serve Uyghur-style polo (also known as plov), a slow-cooked rice pilaf with carrots and lamb. A Central Asian comfort dish served in Alhambra and Irvine.
Finding us
Where is the closest Uyghur restaurant in Orange County?
Our Irvine location at 14425 Culver Drive is the only authentic Uyghur restaurant serving Orange County. We're open daily 11AM–9PM and offer dine-in, takeout, and delivery via Toast, ChowNow, UberEats, DoorDash, and Grubhub.
Where is the closest Uyghur restaurant in Monterey Park or San Gabriel?
Our Alhambra location at 742 West Valley Boulevard is just minutes from Monterey Park and San Gabriel, in the heart of the San Gabriel Valley. Daily 11AM–9PM with dine-in, takeout, and delivery options.
Visiting and ordering
Do you offer delivery?
Yes — we partner with Toast, ChowNow, UberEats, DoorDash, and Grubhub for delivery from our Alhambra and Irvine locations. Direct ordering through Toast or ChowNow gives you the lowest fees and supports us most.
Is there parking?
Yes, free parking in Alhambra and Irvine. Alhambra has its own lot on West Valley Boulevard, and Irvine sits inside Walnut Village Center, so you park in the center lot and walk over. Accessible spaces at both.
Do you take reservations?
Walk-ins are always welcome, and we accept reservations for groups of six or more — just call the location you are visiting so we can put tables together. Alhambra (626) 782-7555, Irvine (949) 299-2878.
What time does the kitchen close?
Alhambra and Irvine are open every day from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Come in any time in that window — and if you are cutting it close, a quick call ahead is the surest way to make sure what you want is still coming out of the kitchen.
